AI Chart Analysis for ASX Stocks

AI-powered pattern grading for VCP and Cup & Handle setups plus Elliott Wave formations. More setups in progress.

Every day, frontier AI models look at ASX charts the way an experienced technical trader would — grading VCP (volatility contraction pattern), Cup & Handle, and Elliott Wave formations and returning a clear 1–5 rating. This AI chart analysis isn't a black box: each rating comes with the reasoning behind it, broken down criterion by criterion, so you can see exactly why a setup scored the way it did.

Think of it as a second set of eyes on a chart, not a replacement for your own judgement. It's built to speed up the scanning and shortlisting part of the process — flagging setups worth a closer look and explaining what stood out, good or bad, so you can spend your time on the stocks that actually warrant it.

What the AI looks at

VCP

The volatility contraction pattern — a base where price and volume both tighten in successive pullbacks as sellers lose interest, typically resolving in a breakout from a well-defined pivot point.

Cup & Handle

A rounded consolidation followed by a shorter, shallower pullback (the handle) near the highs, before a breakout attempt.

Elliott Wave

Impulse and corrective wave counts, used to frame where a stock may sit within a larger trend structure.

More pattern types are in progress — this list will grow over time.

A worked example: GHY

One of the clearest illustrations we've seen on the ASX formed in GHY over a year ago. Successive pullbacks tightened base by base, volume dried up progressively along the way, and the stock eventually broke out from a well-defined pivot — close to a textbook VCP from start to finish.

We use it here purely as an educational example of what the pattern looks like in the wild on the ASX, not as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold GHY or any other stock.
